Obituary of Rose Edith Snow

Rose Edith Snow (nee Smith)
May 25, 1941 – January 22, 2023

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Rose Snow announce her passing on January 22, 2023, at Central Newfoundland Regional Health Centre, at the age of 81 years. She leaves to mourn with many fond and loving memories, her children: Bill (Gloria), Rick (Ruth), Betty (Bruce), Rose Marie (Ron), Ed (Roseann), Bob (Cindy), Trudy (John), Bev (Chris), and Roy (Paula); 17 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; her brothers Bob (Ann) and Ed (Helen); sister Daphne Hillier; the entire Griffin family, as well as a large circle of other family and friends.

Rose was predeceased by her husband William Snow; special friend Kieran Griffin; parents Edith and Caleb Smith; siblings: Beaton, Cyril, Mary Reid, Doris Burry, Ronald, Eileen Power, Annie Smith, Jack, Grace Bullard, Eric, Jane Budgell, Milton, Vera Bowers, Mabel Smith and Viola Moores; her sister-in-law Minnie Jackman and her mother-in-law Blanche Green.

Keeping with Rose’s wishes, cremation has taken place. There will be a visitation at Hoskins Funeral Home, 12 Earle Street, on Wednesday, January 25, 2023 from the hours of 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. A funeral service will take place at The Salvation Army Park Street Citadel in Grand Falls-Windsor on Thursday, January 26, 2023 at 2 p.m. with Major Peter Rowe officiating. Interment to follow at St. Joseph’s cemetery, Toulette Drive.
