Jackie was very active at the Park St. Salvation Army Citadel as well as working at the Salvation Army Thrift store for many years where she made many friends, she enjoyed greeting customers as if they were lifelong friends and many of them did indeed become friends.

The family would like to thank the paramedics for their quick response, care and compassion, Dr. Belbin and the trauma team that were the first at the hospital to take care of her, the nurses in the ICU and Unit 2A, the care and compassion that they gave to Jackie and her family was above and beyond.

Thank you as well to Majors Peter and Janice Rowe for being able to bring a smile to mom’s face and the spiritual comfort given to her and  the  family especially in those last few days.

In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made to The Salvation Army Youth Core which was her passion, she loved the young people of the church and loved watching them grow.

At Jackie’s request cremation has taken place, and a memorial to be arranged at a later date.
