Obituary of Donald Reginald Knight

Passed peacefully away early Saturday morning, December 10, 2022 at the Central Newfoundland Regional Health Centre, Donald Reginald Knight of Grand Falls-Windsor at the age of 81.  Don had retired from working for municipal government having started with the Town of Windsor and retiring in 2006 with the amalgamated Town of  Grand Falls-Windsor. 

Don was predeceased by his loving wife of 51 years, Hannah, Sister Pearl (and brother-in-law Jim Cater), Sister-in-law Gladys Knight, Brother-in-law Ed Pynn and nieces Nellie Cater and Charmaine Penton. 

He leaves to mourn his daughters Donna (Terry) Cooke, Glynis Knight (Sandy Goulding), and Joanne (Chris) Monette; his precious grandchildren Whitney Cooke, Adam Dyke, Taylor Dyke, Claire Monette, and Jenna Monette; super precious great-grandson Anderson Dyke. He also leaves to mourn his brothers, Harvey Knight, and Larry (Gloria) Knight; Sisters-in-law Nellie Pynn, Fran (Lloyd) MacIntire; brother-in-law John Whitty; as well as his special friend Eugene Toope several nieces and nephews and extended family and friends. 

Funeral Service will be Wednesday, December 14th at 1:00 pm at St. Alban’s Anglican Church, Master’s Ave, in Grand Falls-Windsor and officiated by Reverend Jeff Blackwood.  Interment to follow at The Anglican Cemetery, Caribou Road. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Hoskins Funeral Home of Grand Falls Windsor. Public visitation will take place Tuesday, December 13, 2022 from 2:00PM - 4:00PM and 7:00PM - 9:00PM. 

Pallbearers will be Glynis Knight, Adam Dyke, Taylor Dyke, Joanne Monette, Chris Monette and Sandy Goulding. Honorary Pallbearers Donna Cooke, Whitney Cooke, Harvey Knight and Eugene Toope.
