Our mom was the center of our family. Her generous spirit and love of life was infectious. Mom lived by example and expected her family to live life to its full potential.
Mom’s love of her family, friends and music was a beautiful thing to watch. As a young mom, she actively took part in most of the activities children were involved with – from the YBC and JA in church, to brownies and drama club. Mom was a member of the exploits valley YMCA where she swam and did classes for years. Dad joined her in retirement in 1989 and they joined the world of golf. Mom and dad spent many, many beautiful mornings on the golf course – and enjoyed every moment.
Mom met more friends for every activity she enjoyed. Her friends were a major part of her life, from those that she had as a young woman to those she was fortunate to gain through the years.
Mom always told us to be nice to everyone and that everyone deserves respect. She taught us well, and now she’s with dad again.
Special thanks to Hollett’s Retirement Home for taking such good care of our mom and to all the medical professionals at Central Health.
