
Obituary of Michael Joseph Donovan
The family of the late Michael Joseph Donovan is heartbroken to announce his peaceful passing at the Palliative Care Unit in Grand Falls-Windsor after a lengthy illness. He was 75 years old. He was predeceased by his parents, George and Helen Donovan, and his brother Joe. Left with a lifetime of memories are his wife of 44 years, Mary (Mulrooney) and his only child and pride and joy, Michelle; brothers: Vince (the late Mary), Mark (Doreen), both of Grand Falls-Windsor, and George Jr. (the late Debbie) of Prospect Bay, NS; sisters: Genevieve Broomfield (Tom), Rita Donovan (Harold Mackey), Louise Griffin (Garry), Aggie Donovan, and Cecilia O'Rielly (Albert), and the Mulrooney family. Also left to mourn are his many nieces, nephews, and friends across the country. He was a proud lifetime 4th Degree member of the Knights of Columbus (P.J. Connors Council). Flowers gratefully accepted, or donations may be made in his memory to St. Joseph's Parish. The funeral Mass will be held on Friday, September 2, at 11 AM at St. Joseph's Parish. The family requests that masks be worn during the visitation and the funeral Mass.
