He always welcomed many friends to your home; oh the laughter around the pool table and by your wood stove; I hope the sadness you feel today will eventually pass and the beautiful memories of his kindness will remain. Hugs to you all! Debbie (Etheridge) Ward

Gerri, Pam and Colleen and families. We were so saddened to hear about Harvey’s passing esp after just arriving in Grand Falls and Dan was so hoping to see him. We will forever have his memory alive at our cabin with the beautiful picture he gave Dan to hang there and we talk about it all the time and the great friend he was to Dan . Dan shared many stories with us all and all the laughs he and Harve had in his shed on his visits. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all at this sad time. RIP Harve.
To Mrs. Beson and family:
Please accept my deepest sympathy and sincere condolences on Harv's passing.
I first met him years ago when I lived in Grand Falls and the Stadium people hired the late Gord Ralph, Pete Tremblett and me, to help take up the old pipes when they switched the floor from sand and long cooling pipes to a modern cooling system with a concrete floor.
The welders would cut them in sections and we would lug them out doors to be driven away.
Harve was our boss and the three of us had the best summer job ever!
Laugh????My sonny byes, we had some laughs, and working with Harve, was something else-yes we got the job done, and he was serious about getting it done well, but he was such a "character" the laughs were not stop. Of course Gord was a jewel in his own right as well, and he and Harve with their one liners going back and forth, was as good as a concert!
I ran into him many times after that until we left Grand Falls, and moved away, and he would always come over to shake my hand or say something funny, and give me a shot, but was always encouraging to me.
He was a very community minded volunteer, a staunch family man, and a solid man of faith, who I am sure you are and were proud of ,and rightfully so.
Years later looking back from here, and thinking about the many things he did for his community, makes us all proud of him.
May God Bless you all in your hour of sorrow, and May God Love Harve as much as you all did.
Sincerely,
Frank Hiscock.
To Gerri and family
Please accept my deepest condolences.

The community has loss another icon. You could be sure that if things that were happening and Harve was involved in any way, he would be there making sure all was in order. Harve may have had differences of opinion but his commitment and efforts were written all over the things that he volunteered with in the community. His visits to Centennial were always on a positive note and will be missed. On numerous occasions we would call on him for a favor and without hesitation he would drop what he was doing to accommodate .The thoughts of all of us who had the pleasure and privilege to know him, will be with Geraldine and all their family circle at this time. May he RIP.
Mark & Dena, Wayne & Fran and all the Staff at Centennial.
Gerri and family ;
