Much Love to all the family
Lil and family,
So sorry to hear of Win's passing. Win, Lil and family were like family to us. Win was a very kind and gentle soul and was well liked by everyone. I fondly remember the days on Grenfell Heights back in the 60's when Win and Dad went fishing together and always got a good catch, and helped us have the biggest Bonfires. I also remember Win allowing us to sneak into the Joe for an extra hour skate before early morning practices. He was a sharp dude in the goal box too. He didn't hesitate to flick the red light when the Cataracts scored. We wasn't as fussy though when G.F.A. scored on Bill who was in net for St. Mike's, lol. Gary scored on Bill, not me. haha I also recall while living in Goose Bay in the late 80's and we brought in the Cataracts to play us in a weekend series. Win and Dad were made honorary coaches so they could both get a free trip. What a laugh we had. Imagine Win and Dad coaching the Cataracts, even for a short time. The world is a better place because of Win Higgins. His legacy will carry on for generations through his lovely family(s). Rest in Peace Win, you will be missed.

Aunt Lil, Larry, Paul, Bill, Win, Theresa, Deb, Brian & families,
My heart is broken. I can’t imagine how you feel, but I can relate.I will never forget Uncle Win always the sweetest! He helped us through dads last few days telling us stories about up to the camp then a few jokes to keep our spirits up in between the tears. From him coming by the house for his breaks to have a coffee with dad, a party in the basement and how anxious he would be to get away for a moose hunting trip, so many stories and music, lots of music. Memories I will cherish forever. I know it won’t be easy over the next few days and months ahead. Wish I could be there. Sending hugs and prayers to you all. Until we meet again uncle Win, give dad the biggest hug, I’m sure there’s lots of music in heaven today. RIP uncle, I will Love you forever xo
