Obituary of Madeline Joyce Champion
Passed peacefully away on June 27, 2022 at the Golden Years Estate, Madeline Joyce Champion in her 86th year.
Predeceased by her husband Otto Champion of 49 years, her parents Annie and Dawe Wheeler, her infant son Keith, her brother Norman and her sister Bernice.
Left to mourn with fond and loving memories, are her six children, Terry (Bernice), Wayne (Allison), Tony (Michele), Rodney (Paula), Debbie (Pat) Mallard, and Karen (Tayfun) Eldem, her nine grandchildren (Matthew, Jared, Melissa, Angela, Renee, Amanda, Branden, Lucas and Kyle), and nine great-grandchildren (Ryder, Brodie, Rylie, Arya, Jonah, Zac, Carter, Juliana and Isla). She also leaves to mourn four siblings (Alvin, Edward, Olive and Ruby).
Madeline was a quiet, modest, and humble woman, who was devoted wholeheartedly to her family. She spent her life going above and beyond in the care of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, who were an endless source of joy for her.
Madeline was a long-time and devoted Soldier of the Salvation Army Bishop’s Falls Corps. She was involved in various church activities including women ministries and bible studies, and made many close and life long friends over the years as a committed soldier.
The family would like to thank the management and staff of the Golden Years Estate and the devoted and compassionate nursing staff at Central Community Health.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Salvation Army Bishop’s Falls Corps or a children’s charity of ones choosing.
