I know there are no words to ease the pain of losing someone so special ….” Short”worked with my Mom, Ruth Parsons for so long at the Mount Peyton and the stories that were told from their hard work and fun times were priceless. I don’t think there was ever a dull moment but there were lasting friendships made … i was once told that someone meet Vera short and she said she knew me, and for the life of me I didn’t know who they were talking about until they said she lives with Madonna, ahh your talking about Short ..up until than I didn’t even know her real name . She always gave me the biggest hug after Mom passed when I seen her. Her big smile will be certainly missed ..she was certainly a special woman .Heaven will be serving the best dinner rolls ever made now that they are both together again and taking over heavens kitchen

Roy, Marg and the Short families.

So sorry to hear of your Mom’s passing. I have not seen her in years. The last time was when I was back home visiting from Yellowknife. My Mom told her I would fix her sewing machine. I don’t know why because I always took mine elsewhere to get fixed. Anyway, I said I would look at it and when I left her house the machine was purring like a kitten and Vera was all smiles. It’s the little things that we remember. She was a sweet lady. Prayers and condolences to the family. RIP Vera.

I love you Nanny. You are so loved and missed by everyone. Rest peacefully. I’ll see you again, goodbye for now❤️
