Jean was born in Glovertown, moved to Gander as a child and then returned to Glovertown where she met Eric and they married. She first worked as a teacher and then moved throughout the province for Eric’s work as she dedicated her time to raising their sons, eventually settling in Bishop’s Falls. There they answered the call to became United Church ministers, living and serving the Lord in several charges throughout Newfoundland. They retired back to Glovertown and then moved to Grand Falls-Windsor, where they spent the last 9 years. They had a beautiful life together and while she will be greatly missed it is a comfort to know they are now back together again.
The family would like to thank the home care workers who took such good care of Jean these last three years, and the staff at the Carmelite House for their kindness and help over the last 8 months, especially since Eric’s passing earlier this year.
