
Obituary of Sherri-Lynn Helen Morey
Passed peacefully away on May 15, 2022 after a lengthy illness, surrounded by her family, Sherri-Lynn Helen Morey at the Central NL Regional Health Center at the age of 40 years.
Sherri was born in Grand Falls-Windsor on March 27, 1982 to Tom and Marie Barry. She was the youngest of three children. Sherri unconditionally loved her husband Jeff and their children Jaxson and Charlie-Lynn with her whole heart.
Sherri will be remembered for her zest for life which she lived to the fullest. Her laughter, the love of friends and family. She loved the outdoors with her father Tom and husband Jeff. On her cod jigging runs, she would always boost she caught the biggest fish. She also loved putting out rabbit slips, trout fishing and berry picking. Her famous saying, regardless of who was around was “that she was everyone’s favourite”.
If you were lucky enough to be a friend of Sherri’s you were her friend for life. She loved unconditionally no matter who you were, rich or poor it didn’t matter to Sherri, she saw the person not their material things.
She was predeceased by her grandparents: John and Marjorie Peddle and John and Winnifred Barry; uncles: Cyril Barry, Hubert Peddle; aunts: Ann Hart and Edna Kelly.
She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her husband Jeff Morey and children: Jaxson and Charlie-Lynn Morey and her parents: Marie and Tom Barry. She also leaves her siblings: Cyril Barry (Amy), Jason Barry (Brandy); nieces: Faith Vokey, Kaycie Barry, Tia Baxter, Destiny Roberts, Becky Evans; nephews: Boston and Brady Barry; sister-in-law Carolyn Evans (Dave); brother-in-law, Chris Strahm and a circle of other relatives and friends.
Pastor Geoffrey Ryan will conduct the funeral service at the Windsor Pentecostal Church on Thursday, May 19, 2022 at 2 p.m. with cremation to follow.
Pallbearers are her brothers: Cyril Barry, Jason Barry; cousin: Jamie Peddle, uncle Wilfred Roberts; friends: Sarah Hiscock, Amy Hollett. Honorary pallbearers: niece, Kaycie Barry; nephews: Brady Barry and Boston Barry.
Special thanks to Dr. Wendy House and the staff at the Cancer Clinic in Grand Falls-Windsor for their continuous support; also to Rhonda McDonald, her public care nurse for her love and support.
Very special thank you to Jennifer Barker for her love and support during Sherri's battle with cancer. She never missed a day or night during Sherrie's illness with an inspirational quote or saying. Jennifer is her cousin but more of a sister.
