Predeceased by Dora Lingard (mother), Clarence Lingard (father), Junior Lingard (brother), Scout Thomas Keough (great grandson). She was an active member of the Anglican Church, Choir and ACW. She enjoyed gardening, baking, spending time with family and any activity where she could enjoy the sunshine. Marie had a 16 year career at the Max Simms Memorial Camp. She had many dear friends and knew many within the community. She contributed to and attended many church and community sales and she loved to offer support. Marie married Tom Penney on March 1, 1965. The two were each others lifelong companions and friends. Her greatest joys in life were her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She wore her heart on her sleeve and you always knew exactly what Marie was thinking. She never hesitated to offer a listening ear or a shoulder to lean on. Good-bye to a wonderful woman and a beautiful mother. We loved you and miss you Mom.
Rev. Roy Martin will conduct a Memorial Service at St. Andrew's Anglican Church, Bishop's Falls on Thursday, May 12th at 2 PM. Urnbearers are Taylor Penney, Jordan Penney and Mark Keough (grandchildren). Donations in Marie's memory can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or Dr. H. Bliss Murphy Cancer Care Foundation.
" If flowers grow in heaven, Lord, then pick a bunch for me. Then place them in my Mother's arms and tell her they're from me. Tell her that I love and miss her and when she turns to smile, place a kiss upon her cheek and hold her for awhile."
