Obituary of Dennis Malcolm Woolridge

Dennis Malcolm Woolridge passed peacefully away at his home in Botwood with his family by his side, on Friday, April 8, 2022. He was predeceased by his parents Henry and Bessie Woolridge; brother Robert Woolridge (Ruby Woolridge); parents-in-law Samuel and Eleanor Cramm; brothers-in-law Harold and Arnold Cramm.

Dennis worked with Abitibi Consolidated until their closing in 2009, as a Mechanic and then an Electrician.  He was a long-time member of the Botwood Kinsmen Club, Royal Canadian Legion, Deputy Mayor and Councillor with the Town of Botwood for many years. Dennis enjoyed his retirement to the fullest spending time with his children and grandchildren.  The past several years were difficult for him with kidney dialysis and then heart trouble.

Left to mourn are his wife Betty (Cramm) Woolridge; son Philip (Shawna) Woolridge; daughter Heather (Donovan) Woolridge; grandchildren Annabelle, Ellie, Madelyn Woolridge, Lorelai Stockley; a special grandson on the way July 2022; brother Darren (Michelle) Woolridge; sisters Linda (Victor) White, Valerie Woolridge; brothers-in-law Edgar Cramm (Roma Budgell), Ronald (Susan) Cramm, Terry (Colleen) Cramm; sisters-in-law Juanita Butler, Sandra (Gary) Luff, Marilyn (Audie) Newhook, Ella (Paul) Keough, Darlene Cramm and many other relatives and friends.

There will be a private visitation on Tuesday evening from 7-9, followed by a private funeral service on Wednesday afternoon at two.  Both the visitaiton and service will be by invitation only and the family would appreiciate a mask being worn by anyone attending. Thank you.
