Gertrude Mae Brake passed peacefully away on March 26, 2022 at the Dr. Hugh Twomey Health Care Center in Botwood at the age of 78. Predeceased by her parents Thomas and Dora White, and siblings: Nellie Foote, Audrey Parsons, Reginald White, Grace Philpott, Rita Forgacs, Minnie Summers, Joyce Runde and William White. Left to mourn is her husband Adolphus Penny; son Paul (Tina) Brake; daughter Tracey Lynn (Ernest) Brake-Williams; brothers: Tom (Stella) White, Arch (Juanita) White, Ivan (Marilyn) White.
Trude retired from Human Resources Development Canada and served on the Town Council of Campbellton. She was a smart, beautiful lady who lived a wonderful fulfilling life. She took great pride in her job. She loved to learn and kept busy. She liked to sew, knit, crochet, macrame and paint. She had a flare for decorating and it was reflected in her homes. Most important to Gertrude was the love of her family. She always made them a priority. Her loving spouse Adolphus, her son Paul and daughter Tracey Lynn were always in her thoughts and prayers. She loved all of her siblings and spoke of them all very highly.

In keeping with Gertrude’s wishes, cremation has taken place. There will be no services at this time.
