To my Higgins Cousins,
I was deeply saddened to hear of Uncle Andrews passing. He was one a of a kind who always had a smile on his face and a story to tell. I remember when I was a little girl he would come to the Northern Peninsula and when the doors opened he always had a few of you with him. We would be so happy. This and him playing guitar with my dad are my 2 favourite memories. He is now reunited with with his family in heaven in the arms of your mom and I'm sure there's lots of music as he sings with the angels. You now have another guardian angel to watch over you. I sincerely send my love and prayers to you all. May God give you the strength to get through this difficult time. May God Bless, hugs.

I am saying a prayer for all of you for peace and unity through all the memories that will be shared. I will always picture him in his cream fisherman’s knit sweater, sitting in the kitchen on Dovedale, guitar in hand, huge smile on his face, singing ‘ Waltz across Texas’ Rest easy ‘Skipper’ Much Love Debbie Kent

So sorry to see the passing of your precious Dad . Andrew was a great friend of my Dad ,Fred Parsons that was one of the “boys” that would start the day at Tim’s before the sun was up ..oh the stories dad would have of the laughs they would have ..they were quite the bunch made up of the younger and older of the community ..they were so much a part of my dads life that when he passed they were honorary pallbearers..every time I met your dad at the store he would always reminisce about something they done or a little joke they would play on the younger boys . His smile will certainly be missed …
When we were required to change the clothing on any of the paper machines, I was always pleased to see Andrew on site - I knew then the job would be done efficiently and properly. God Speed Andrew…

To all my Higgins cousins,
Your father, my special uncle, was the very best human you can ever ask for. He was the mother as well as the father figure when your mother passed. He raised most of you on his own, that in itself speaks volumes of the man he was. He loved you all. He was another core connection of our extended family. We all loved him and still do and will miss him terribly. Rest In Peace my sweet, beautiful Uncle.
Amanda, Heather, Marg and extended family members.
We were so saddened to learn of Andrews passing and I know full well that he meant
so much to each of you. Amanda, your Pop was always proud of you and whenever we
meant you were definitely the centre of conversation.Words are unable to describe his
love for all his family but in particular for you, Caleb and Kyle.Without a doubt, he was
the glue that held things together.and will be sadly missed by all.
He may be gone but will not be forgotten.
May you take comfort in this poem;
“Don’t remember me with sadness,
Don’t remember me with tears,
Remember all the laughter,
We’ve shared throughout the years.
Now I am contented
That my life it was worthwhile,
Knowing as I passed along the way
I made somebody smile.
When you are walking down the street
And you’ve got me on your mind,
I’m walking in your footsteps
Only half a step behind.
So please don’t be unhappy
Just because I’m out of sight,
Remember that I’m with you
Each morning, noon and night.”
Our deepest sympathy to all.
Wayne & Fran Thomas
