Dad was a kind man with a big heart; he welcomed everyone into his home and treated them as his own. When he was able, he loved being in his backyard sawing wood with his bucksaw on his homemade wood horse. He would draw out every nail, straighten it, and save it for later; mom still has them. Mick, as most people called him, loved his game of cards and watching the Blue Jays play. Dad was a very quiet man who never spoke very much but was always there to listen and guide us. He had a wonderful sense of humor which showed when we were kids, and later with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A strong and silent man, dad was thought of highly by those who knew him and loved dearly by all his family, whom he cherished to the fullest. He will be greatly missed and forever in our hearts.
