It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Sheldon Daniel King on December 5, 2021 at the age of 27. Sheldon was born in Grand Falls-Windsor on March 18, 1994. He was one of a twin. Sheldon didn't have the easiest life health wise. At the age fo 14 he went to the Sick Kids Hospital in Toronto and underwent a successful heart transplant. Travelling back and forth to Toronto and St. John's for many health checkups over the years. Despite some challenges he had a good life and accomplished several things, such as getting his driver's licence, which he was so proud of.
Sheldon is predeceased by his grandfather William King, grandmother Judith Bartlett both of Bishop's Falls, uncle Keith Giles of Grand Falls-Windsor, uncle David King of Georgetown, ON, cousin Curtis King and great uncles Ernest and Allan Clarke.
He leaves to mourn his mother Jackie King, siblings: Kayla (Branden), Tommy (Xena), twin brother Shawn, niece Zara and beloved pet dog Amy. Also leaving to mourn his uncle Allen (Sylvia) King, aunt Barbara Giles, aunt Betty (Joseph) Duggan, poppy Lou Bartlett and a large circle of family and friends. Sheldon will be missed by all who knew him. He was always eager to help his neighbours and always there to share a story and a little giggle.
Public visitation will be Friday from 7-9. Funeral service will take place at the Windsor Pentecostal Church on Saturday at 2 PM. Please call 489-6635 before 4 PM on Friday afternoon to register to attend the service. The service will be live-streamed from Windsor Pentecostal Church Facebook page.
