Obituary of Helen Sutherland

Helen Sutherland 64 years old of Bishop’s Falls, NL passed away November 19, 2021 at the Dr. Hugh Twomey Center in Botwood, NL as a result of congestive heart failure. Helen was born to Ann (Nancy) and George Woodman on March 5, 1957.

Helen was a very friendly person who didn’t mind telling you what was on her mind. If she was thinking something, you would know shortly after. Helen started her family at a young age with 1 boy and 1 girl who she adored. To Helen her kids were everything. She was very much a stay-at-home mother, who made sure her family was well taken care of. There is no challenge that she would not overcome when it came to her family.

Later in life as her kids grew she helped out in the family business (Woodman’s Jewelers) where she became quite proficient at engraving. After her father (George) passed away in 2001, she went on to help her mother with the business until it eventually closed. Helen faced many hardships in life but never let them bring her down.

She cherished good friends, family, and especially her grandkids. She always referred to her grandkids as “Her Angels”. She shared an incredibly close connection with her 3 grandkids. She was a great cook and loved doing crafts of all sorts. She also enjoyed a good movie or game on her ipad. She also shared a passion for flowers that she undoubtably received from her mother (Ann). She was a friend to anyone who needed a friend.

Helen is predeceased by her mother Ann (Nancy) and father George Woodman.

Helen leaves to mourn her son Robin (Charmagne) and daughter Heather (Anderson), and granddaughters Monica, Katelyn, and Abigail.
