We are so very sorry for your loss.
We loved Emmie so very much. She had the biggest heart. She babysat Jake and treated him like one of her own grandchildren.
We will remember her forever as a very special lady.

Kim & the Sparkes Family,
Sending our deepest condolences on Emmie’s passing. We had the pleasure to meet Emmie when we dropped in to see Kim on our trip across the island a few years ago. It was as if we had known Emmie for years and had a great visit. Thinking of you all and keeping you in our prayers. Nell and Mary Devereaux.
Kim and the Sparkes family my sincere condolences for your loss. My thoughts and prayers are with you all at this difficult time. Betty Devereaux
To my four cousins a big hug and my sincere condolences❤️Our moms are supposed to be around forever, right? That’s how our heart feels however we know deep down that this is not our forever home and we are just passing through. Aunt Emmie I am sure was done with this world and quite ready to go home…she has family waiting for her on the other side. Most of my memories of Aunt Emmie were from my childhood but they are vivid enough to remember she was sweet, kind and loved by her family and a lot of people. My dad loved and admired her and she baked awesome cakes. Not too many years back she brought one down on his birthday. The last couple of years we have experienced 3 family losses in the Rendell family and it makes we realize how fragile life is and how important it is to treasure our families. My heart is thinking of you all, especially Brian, Barry, Johnny and Sharon (and Kimmie). You had a wonderful and honourable mom to proudly remember. The memories will bring you comfort when you need comforting. I always say and believe that our memories are God’s way of sending us comfort. If you are ever in St. John’s or in need of somewhere to stay or just to visit my doors are always open and I would be excited to see my cousins! Sending you all love as you say your earthly goodbyes on Saturday. I love you all!
Barry: So sorry to hear of your Mom's passing. Our thoughts and prayers are with you . God bless. Bill & Shirley Wall

To the entire Sparkes family, we want to express our deepest sorrow on your mom's passing. We have many fond memories of your mom during visits to Grand Falls and also her visits to St. John's with Georgina and Kim. They were incredibly fortunate to have Emmie and you all in their lives. Emmie's kindness and thoughtfulness showed no bounds. She was such a loyal and unselfish person. We are blessed to have known her and appreciate all she has done in the name of friendship. An incredible lady - Rest in Peace.
Sending our sincere condolence to all of Emmie's family. Keep all the wonderful memories close to your heart to give you a smile in the days ahead. She will be missed by many for sure.
I am so sorry to hear of Emmie’s passing. Although I never got to meet her in person, I had the privilege of chatting with her when I would be on my video chats with Kim. She was always so friendly, we chatted as if we knew each other for a long time. I know she meant the world to you all especially to Kim, who I know will miss her terribly. May your memories carry you all through the difficult days ahead and bring you a smile when you need it most. Keeping you all in our thoughts and prayers.

To the Sparkes family.
I will never ever forget Emmie. She was the one who made me so welcome when I moved here years ago. Always loving and supportive to me but wanted to stay in the background. Anyone who had the pleasure of knowing her was blessed. An exceptional mother and friend. It was an honour to call her my friend.
I’m so sorry to hear of Emmie’s passing. I was one of the lucky mothers whose child attended Emmie’s daycare. She treated my son with such love that I thought of her as family. Although we lost touch over the years, Emmie was often on my mine. My thoughts and prayers are with you all at this time.
Brian and family, I’m so deeply saddened to hear of Emmie’s passing. She was a
Wonderful woman and very hard working all of her life. When Georgina died she stepped in without any hesitation and took care of Kim, until she wasn’t able to. She will be missed by everyone. Keep your memories of her close, as they will sustain you in your
Time of grief. RIP Emily.
