To my four cousins a big hug and my sincere condolences❤️Our moms are supposed to be around forever, right? That’s how our heart feels however we know deep down that this is not our forever home and we are just passing through. Aunt Emmie I am sure was done with this world and quite ready to go home…she has family waiting for her on the other side. Most of my memories of Aunt Emmie were from my childhood but they are vivid enough to remember she was sweet, kind and loved by her family and a lot of people. My dad loved and admired her and she baked awesome cakes. Not too many years back she brought one down on his birthday. The last couple of years we have experienced 3 family losses in the Rendell family and it makes we realize how fragile life is and how important it is to treasure our families. My heart is thinking of you all, especially Brian, Barry, Johnny and Sharon (and Kimmie). You had a wonderful and honourable mom to proudly remember. The memories will bring you comfort when you need comforting. I always say and believe that our memories are God’s way of sending us comfort. If you are ever in St. John’s or in need of somewhere to stay or just to visit my doors are always open and I would be excited to see my cousins! Sending you all love as you say your earthly goodbyes on Saturday. I love you all!

To the entire Sparkes family, we want to express our deepest sorrow on your mom's passing. We have many fond memories of your mom during visits to Grand Falls and also her visits to St. John's with Georgina and Kim. They were incredibly fortunate to have Emmie and you all in their lives. Emmie's kindness and thoughtfulness showed no bounds. She was such a loyal and unselfish person. We are blessed to have known her and appreciate all she has done in the name of friendship. An incredible lady - Rest in Peace.

I am so sorry to hear of Emmie’s passing. Although I never got to meet her in person, I had the privilege of chatting with her when I would be on my video chats with Kim. She was always so friendly, we chatted as if we knew each other for a long time. I know she meant the world to you all especially to Kim, who I know will miss her terribly.
