Passed away on November 15, 2021, Lewis "Jim" Thompson at the Dr. Hugh Twomey Health Center, Botwood. He was 86 years of age. He was predeceased by his parents James and Dorothy (Peddle) Thompson; brothers Harvey and Walter Thompson. He leaves to mourn his wife Sadie (Andrews) Thompson; sons Rick (Tammy), Darren "Buck" (Debbie); daughters Michelle (Ken), Jenny (Jeff); grandchildren Suzanne (James), Stephanie, Travis, Grant, Katie, Blair; great grandchildren Dominic, Adrian; brothers Ambrose (Daphne), Cyril (Joyce), Wade (Debbie) and Ralph (Shawna) Thompson; sisters Florence, Joyce (Don) Feener and a large circle of other relatvies and friends. Jim was well known for his quick wit, dry humour, and always having a story. His house was always open and would welcome anyone in to tell a few yarns and share a tea or Pepsi. He loved life and the love of his family and friends is what kept him going this past year as his health deteriorated. He was well known as a “one of a kind” man with a big generous heart. He left a mark on anyone who had the pleasure of being in his company. He will be forever missed in the community and his presence in the window. Gone but never forgotten. Visitation will take place at Hoskins Funeral Home, Botwood on Wednesday from 11-1 for family and close friends but by invitation only. Visitors must have Vax pass and photo ID. Majors Weldon and Donna Hayward will conduct the funeral service from the Salvation Army Citadel, Pt. Leamington on Thursday at 2 P.M. Vax pass, photo ID and masks are required for the service.
