Obituary of Rick Matty Woodrow Verge

Passed away on Oct. 17, 2021 after a short battle with cancer, Rick Matty Woodrow Verge at his home at the age of 62 years. He retired from Exploits Valley Paving. He was predeceased by his mother, Shirley Bourne (nee Verge), father Charles Lewis; grandparents Allen and Dora Bourne, Charles Chapman and Gertrude Lewis; step-father Harold Lewis and brother Chuck Lewis. He leaves to mourn his wife Louise Verge (nee Rimmer); sons: Chad (Sarah Maloney) Verge, Jamie (Melissa) Verge and daughter, Tonya (Wayne) Lambert. He also leaves his stepmother Sheila Lewis; sisters: Joyce (Tommy), Glenda (Calvin), Karen (Melvin), Elizabeth (Brad) and Tammy (Monty); brothers: Bob (Lois), Keith (Florence), Rodney (Gladys), Donny (Tracy), Mark (Goldie); his grandchildren: Jessica, Chantelle, Cordell, Tianna, Nicholas, Nathan, Jennalyn, Alyia and Cole; his great-grandchildren: Matty, Laci, Marshall, Aubree and Cason. His aunts and uncles: Velma (Herb), Carol (Gary), Keith (Marg), Dave (Judy), Trevor (Kathy), Wayne (Elaine) and the love for the Rimmer families and the love he ad for his nieces and nephews as well as a large circle of relatives and friends.

Following Covid restrictions a private visitation for family and friends only will take place on Thursday, Oct. 21 from 6-9 p.m. with cremation to follow.
