Hazel Loretta Harvey

Our loved one was born on August 24, 1932, in Joe Batt’s Arm, Fogo Island, to Thomas and Elsie Freake. She returned to her Heavenly Father on Thursday, September 2, 2021, at the Carmelite House in Grand Falls-Windsor at the age of 89 years.

Predeceased by husband, Ivan and siblings: William, Effie, Bertram, Emma and Malcolm.

Left with aching hearts are her children: Valda (Claude Wagg), Bruce (Lilla), Mildred (Douglas Baker), Owen (Heather), Fern (Toby Bauld), Kathy (Lance Watson), Nancy (Russell Pottinger), Wylie and Bonnie (Darryl Barbour). Also her grandchildren: Pamela (Darren Williamson), Lori-Lynn (Craig Head), Karen, Perry, Gloria (Everett Perry), Shelley (Matthew Noel), Olivia (Keith Davis), Sherwin, Nicole, Jeffrey, Nathan (Allison), Joshua, Colton and Xavier; great-grandchildren: Taylor, Moriah, Destiney, Dakota, Manson, Archer, Chase, Lincoln and Elliot; her younger siblings: Edith, Andrew, Mabel, Minnie and Jim.

Pastor George Rideout will conduct the funeral service following Covid restrictions on Sunday, September 5, 2021 at 1 p.m. from Bethany Pentecostal Tabernacle, Norris Arm North with interment at the Pentecostal cemetery. Pallbearers are Russell Pottinger, Claude Wagg, Paul Mills, Sherwin Harvey, Joshua Pottinger, Colton Harvey. Honorary pallbearer: Wylie Harvey.

Precious one, your work is done. Life will not be the same without you. Until we meet again…

Flowers gratefully accepted or donations may be made to Bethany Cemetery Fund.

 

Visitation will be Saturday, September 4th at Bethany Pentecostal Church, Norris Arm North from 2PM - 9 PM.
