Obituary of Madonna Sandra Langdon

Passed away on August 1, 2021, peacefully, after a lengthy battle with cancer, Madonna Sandra Langdon at the Dr. Hugh Twomey Health Care Center in Botwood.  She was 73 years of age.

Madonna Langdon was a beloved Wife, Mother, Aunt, Sister, colleague and friend.  She worked for 35 plus years at both the Botwood Cottage Hospital and the Dr. Hugh Twomey Health Care Center sharing her amazing leading and comforting skills with patients, residents and colleagues alike.  She loved her community of Botwood where she was born and lived.  She was a committed and dedicated member of the Botwood Lions Club, having been a President and Vice President of the club.

 She volunteered in various areas including Botwood Day Celebrations and other community fundraisers.  She loved entertaining residents at the Killick Retirement Home.  She will be missed by everyone who knew her and every life she touched.  Knowing she is once again reunited with the love of her life, her husband David, makes this loss much easier.

She was predeceased by her loving husband, David James Langdon; mother Vera Francis Burt; father Garland Burt; brother James Melvin Burt.  She leaves to mourn her sons Brian (Tina) Langdon, Chad (Danielle) Langdon; sisters Janice Timberlake, Lorraine Smith, Connie Burt; brother Tony Burt; six grandchildren and a circle of other relatives and friends.  Major Richard Mouland will conduct the funeral service from the Salvation Army Citadel, Botwood on Thursday August 5, at 2 P.M. Interment to follow at the Botwood Community Cemetery.  Urnbearer will be her grandson Brady Langdon.

Following Covid 19 restrictions, there will be public visitation from 2:30 – 4 p.m and 7 – 9 pm on Wednesday at Hoskins Funeral Home, Botwood.
