Condolences
To the family, we are so saddened to hear of Geralds passing. He was such a great guy and always so friendly and kind. We spent many a day in the cove with him and dad(Attwell Langdon) So many stories from being together or from dad telling us. He let Jerry and I and some friends from Ontario stay in his cabin in the cove for a few days. The water was shut off and dad was trying to turn it on for us and couldn’t figure it out. Dad said give me a minute I got to think like Gerald…. So he waited a minute and said I know what he did and then Gerald thinks differently you know. Gerald you were a part of our family and we will always remember the good times together with you and Capatol. Hugs and prayers for the family. Dianne and Jerry Langdon

We are sorry we can not be with you today. We are thinking of you all. Our thoughts and prayers to you all. Rest in Peace our friend.

Sorry to hear of Gerald's passing. We met this man after moving to Bishop's Falls in June 2014. We made many pastoral visits to his home and found him to be a quiet man who was very open about spiritual matters, but also liked a good laugh.
Gerald found it important to attend church, but on Sunday February 19th, 2017 his one aim that morning was to become part of the family of God. What a privilege it was for us to see him leave his pew and come and kneel at the Cross, and hear him pray the Sinner's Prayer. It made News in Heaven, for Gerald King's name was written in The Lamb's Book of Life. It also made news in Bishop's Falls; 80 years old and first time experiencing the joy of sins forgiven. He was a changed man. It was GOOD NEWS!
We also had the privilege of performing the Wedding Ceremony for him and Beatrice on March 24th, 2017, He was overjoyed, and he couldn't stop smiling, as you can see on his Obituary Picture. He said, "It can't get any better than this, not on this earth."
Beatrice: You had a few short years together but they were enjoyable and happy times. Cherish these memories in your heart.
Thinking of you all in these difficult days. Be assured of our love and prayers. May God Bless and comfort each one.

I was saddened to hear Uncle Gerald’s passing, I remember him as a kind soft spoken man who didn’t waste time or complain when life gave him a problem, but found a way around and move forward enjoying life. He was always busy doing something or on his way somewhere. Jim and I were looking forward to visiting Gerald and going fishing this Summer. Heaven has received an angel. Jim & I will miss our visits with Gerald, but won’t forget his smile. Our condolences to the King family and Beatrice god bless you.

We are so sorry to hear of Gerald’s passing. It’s so hard to express how we feel.
In all the years we lived next door he became “Dad King” to our children. We couldn’t asked for better neighbours We had vacations together. There was never a disagreement between us. There was so much laughter when we were together. Just this past Wednesday we stopped in to see him but he was already in hospital. This world has lost a wonderful man. .
Hold on to your memories as we will hold on to ours
