Obituary of William "Bill" Edmund Best
Passed peacefully on May 31, 2021 William (Bill) Best at the Carmelite House Pallative Care Unit, Grand Falls-Windsor. He was 77 years of age. Predeceased by wife Elizabeth, parents Michael and Myrtle Best, sister Loretta (Mike) Mackey, parents-in-law Patrick and Nellie Maher. Leaving to mourn are sisters: Lucy Best, brothers-in-law: Albert (Sarah deceased) Maher, Edward (Rita) Maher, sisters-in-law Mary (Ted) Kelly, Irene (deceased Don) Kelly, special nephew Mike (Cathy) Makey, special neice Alice (Gary) Fudge. Also leaving to mourn many more neices and nephews, great neices and nephews and a circle of other family and friends.
Visitation will be Thursday from 6:30 to 8:30 please call the funeral home 489-5100 to arrange the time.
Father Joseph will conduct the Funeral Mass at St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church, Grand Falls-Windsor on Friday, June 4, 2021. Due to COVID restrictions it will be by invitation only. Interment will follow at St. Joseph's Cemetery. Pallbearers are Mike Mackey, Gary Fudge, Duane Maher, Derek Ralph, Shawn Blake and Justin Sharpe.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff of 3B Central NL Hospital, staff of the Carmelite House Palliative Care Unit. Special thank you to Debbie Dunne and staff of Twin Town Manor for their special care given to Bill over the last 3 years. Thank you to Hoskins Funeral Home for their professionalism and kindness. In lieu of flowers donations of ones choice.
