After a long battle with cancer, passed away peacefully at his home in Bishop’s Falls on April 17th, 2021 at the age of 81. He was predeceased by his parents, Thomas and Frances Hatcher, and his brothers Frank and Alfred. He leaves to mourn his loving wife of 61 years, Georgie; sons Paul and Robert; daughters-in-law Lisa and Cindy; and six grandchildren: Kathleen, Thomas, Jeremy, Sarah, Ashley and Luke.
Tom was a teacher for 30 years and spent most of his career teaching at Inglis Memorial High School in Bishop’s Falls. For many years he was an avid amateur radio operator and member of local radio clubs. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing, painting, and playing the guitar, banjo, and accordion. A kind, generous and intelligent man, he was a very loving Husband, Father, Grandfather and Uncle who positively touched the lives of many. He left us with many cherished memories and will be sorely missed.
He will be cremated and in accordance with his wishes there will not be a funeral service. He will be interred at the United Church cemetery in Bishop’s Falls at a later date.
