Dad will always be remembered as loving the outdoors, with him and mom taking an evening ride on the side-by-side. Kim and Roberta always knew if they were in trouble or needed anything we would go to dad. Being raided in a large family dad always loved having his family around. Before the kids went back to school we always had a barbecue with everyone. Each one of the grandchildren always felt the love from their Pop. It was so important that he knew what everyone was doing and they were okay. We were the only grown up daughters that had a curfew because if you weren’t home by a certain time he would blow up your phone with calls. He always said he had a girl for hunting and one for carpentry. He loved us so very much. Everyone at the hospital knew everything about us “my girls” was his saying right to the last. He son-in-law Arch always had a joke but dad always had a comeback. He loved Arch as much as he would his own son.
Dad and mom met very young he would always refer to mom as “the old woman” so mom would call his “the old man”. He was so concerned about leaving mom, making sure things were in order for her after his passing.
The list of people we could thank is endless but a special thanks to the nurses and staff on 4A and the ICU; Doug and Marie Lane, Lou Brenton; his old buddy Woodrow Fudge; Carl Corbin; also his sister Eileen; from the bottom our hearts we thank you for all your kindness and prayers.
At his request cremation has taken place with no visitation or funeral service.
