Condolences
John was a great father,,neighbour and friend and i am sure he is going to be missed by many//till we all meet again John you are wrapped in the arms of an angel
Marlene, Craig, Kurt, and family’s; sorry to hear of (John’s) your dads passing.
I have many fond memories of him and the household, yes, he certainly was a top of the line mechanic!
After being away from home, when I would visit or run into John, usually @ the mall!
His 1st. question would be ; what kind of vehicle do you have now? Car/truck?
And as for household supplies, food, toilet paper and his famous good ole “home brew” in which he made the finest, you would never run out. He certainly will be missed, I offer my condolences and thinking of you all @ this time of sorrow.
You all take care and stay safe, CHEERS

To Marlene and the Penney families
Our sincere condolences to you all during this time of Johns passing . These past few weeks have been quite hard on everyone during his illness . We’ll always remember John as a very soft spoken ,well liked individual ! We sure are going to miss having him over for meals with Marlene at our house which he always enjoyed ! During the winter months he’d always want to stand in front of our wood stove and cherish the heat that would be towering out from it ! And during the summer months he would enjoy sitting outside on the patio enjoying the fresh air and a great meal ! He loved it when I’d ask if he’d had enough and he’d say “I’ll have a little more ! “ He loved it more when he knew he could take some home for later ! If we had anything that was broken , he’d have an idea how to help you get it fixed ..his way ! Fly high with the angels , John
Dearest Craig, Denise, Danielle and Jonathan,
Please accept our deepest condolences from my entire family. I first met Craig’s Dad, John, at Craig’s and Denise’s wedding in Trinidad. I remember thinking to myself, he seemed to fit right in and nothing fazed him except how ‘hot’ it was in his suit. I could tell, he was so proud of Craig and Craig’s new wife Denise. Over the years when I’d meet him at your family get-togethers he was always smiling. I know he has a very special place in all your hearts and you will miss him dearly. I see his love of cars and bikes and things mechanical in Craig and Jonathan. Whenever I come over and Craig is ‘working’ on a home project like fixing a fence, or repurposing something he picked from one of his walks I know where it comes from and that is his father. The world is a lesser place as we lose these men who knew how to ‘fix’ stuff, ‘figure out’ stuff and work with their hands. May his soul rest in peace.

Poppy, I miss you so much! I will forever cherish the memories of being in Niagara Falls with you, uncle Craig and auntie Denise! I’m so grateful we got to spend time together when I was an adult and I always enjoyed chatting with you even if sometimes I couldn’t understand what you said. But you always had a big smile and an even bigger hug for me. I love you forever poppy Penney, Rest In Peace

Thinking of you Craig, and your family. These words are heartfelt and sincere and may you all find peace during this difficult time. Sending love...Joanne.
Oh John, I have so many good memories of you. You were such a funny man. My favorite was when I was swatting flies in Ashburn and you said: "Now Denise, I can't say to people that you would never hurt a fly." Thank you for all the valuable lessons you taught Danielle and Jonathan and for always loving them. Thank you for Craig. Thank you for showing me all the bargains at the Dollar Store. We will forever cherish you and all the good times. May God have mercy on your soul and grant you eternal peace. RIP John Penney.

So sorry and sad to hear of John's passing. Although I haven't saw him in years we first became friends when he worked at Riverview Chev Olds. A great friend and a great mechanic.
