It is with great sadness that the family of Rodney Froude announce his passing at the Carmelite House, Grand Falls-Windsor on Saturday, April 3, 2021 at the age of 54 years. Rodney is predeceased by his father Terry Froude. Leaving to mourn are his mother Mary Froude; brothers Raymond Froude (Karen) and Clifford Froude; sisters Sharon Ralph (Paul) and Arlene Owens (John); Nieces and Nephews Keira Baker (Tim), Jordan Ralph (Deanna), Jaleesa Ralph (Josh), Karissa Ralph (Ryan), Joshua Owens (Taylor), Cassandra Owens (Jeremy), Savannah Owens, Corban Froude (Sera); Great-Nieces and Great-Nephews Gracie Baker, Landon Baker, Adele Baker, Weston Baker, Payten Ralph, Madilyn Fresz, Joshua Fresz; Also his sister’s foster children Lincoln, Kingston and Violet.
Rodney was born and raised in Grand Falls-Windsor and spent his working years in Alberta. He loved his dogs and enjoyed many hours training them as his loyal companions. Rodney’s family held a special place in his heart. He was especially fond of his nieces and nephews and showed a genuine interest in their lives. While there was a time in Rodney’s life when he struggled with addictions, he found deliverance through a personal relationship with Jesus and with the help of Teen Challenge. Rodney was diagnosed with Multiple System Atrophy (MSA) and his faith in the Lord was his source of strength in dealing with this disease to the time of his passing.
The family would like to thank the health care professionals who provided exceptional care for Rodney throughout his illness.
The funeral service will be held at 2 pm. on April 14, 2021 at Windsor Pentecostal Church. The funeral is by invitation only due to COVID restrictions.
