Obituary of Marie Florence Cole-Evans

MARIE FLORENCE COLE-EVANS

September 16, 1936 - March 28, 2021

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Marie Cole Evans on March 28, 2021, at the Central Newfoundland  Regional  Health Centre surrounded by family.  She was 84 years of age.  Predeceased  by her parents William and Elsie Rice, brothers Clarence and Allister, sisters Mary and Mabel, cherished husband Boyd and daughter Louise.  Leaving to mourn are her sons:  Wayne (Sharon), Darryl (Debbie), Garry (Colleen); daughters:  Wanda, Barbara (Dan), Linda (Bob), Sandra (Alan) and loving husband Truence; brother Jim (Joan), sisters Doris and Phyllis (Frank); brother-in-law Melvin (Marion) and sister-in-law Joan.  Also leaving to mourn eleven grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, step children:  Gloria (Roy), Beverley (Jeff), Pauline, Terry, Trevor (Sharon), Jonathan (Jennifer), Lori  (Mark ) as well as extended family and friends too many to mention.  Marie was a wonderful mother, grandmother, great grandmother and wife.  A true friend to many and a great woman of faith.

In Lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Gideons.   Following COVID 19 restrictions funeral service will be held at The Windsor Pentecostal Church on Thursday by invitation only.   Interment will follow at the Windsor Pentecostal Cemetery.

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts to the staff of 4A, 3B, Dr.Smith and all her doctors, nurses, housekeeping, x-ray, lab and dietary at CNRHC who went above and beyond.  As mom would say, ”love you, love you, love you.”   You all showed our precious loved one such tender compassion, respect and care as she concluded her journey down here and said good morning up there!
