Baxter was born on July 17, 1944.  He grew up in a house full of love and brought that to his own family.  At 17, Baxter joined the Canadian Army and served with Princess Patricia’s Infantry where he was a paratrooper.  He shared many stories with his friends and family.  Baxter got out of the army and married Edna Reid, the love of his life.  They raised two daughters and his grandson Kirk, who was his pride and joy. Three more grandchildren followed Pepa, Nick and Brandon who he loved and cherished.  He was also blessed to have a great granddaughter Sophie who kept him on his toes and gave him days filled with laughter.  His nephew Paul also had a piece in his heart and he loved him dearly.  His sense of humor and his stories were like no other.  The joy and laughter he brought to people was a special gift and he will be deeply missed.
