Obituary of Margaret Unice Tarrant

Una passed away on November 3, 2020, after a lengthy illness at the Central NFLD Regional Health Care Center, Grand Falls-Windsor.  She was 76 years of age. She was predeceased by her husband Abel; son Gordon Stuckless;  parents Jonas and Susanna Stuckless; brother Andrew; sister Dorthy.  She leaves to mourn her son Benson; daughter Ida (Carson), mother-in-law Ida Baker; sisters Madeline Roberts, Penny Blake; brother Leandor Stuckless; 12 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren and a circle of other relatives and friends.

Margaret was never called by her given name, she was always known to everyone as Una.

Una was always an avid dart player from a young age. Una loved the game and made many friends over the years.

When Una wasnt playing darts you could find her fishing at the cabin she and Abel built in Migel Lake and was in their glee. Una was always down by the lake with her beloved dog Mick at her side. Una loved fishing so much she would sometimes even be at the lake with a flashlight in the dark.

Una always was a great housewife, mother and grandmother, she loved her family! Una always kept the home up to date and made sure to take great care of the home while Abel worked. Una would constantly change things around, which lead to alot of laughs as the family would never know where to find anything.

Una applied for her moose license at the age of 60 of years old and she couldn't have been more proud when she went out and shot her first moose all by herself!

At the age of 71 Una was diagnosed with lung cancer and had to travel to Ontario to have surgery, which lead to another 6 months stay to endure Chemo treatments. With the love and support of her family she beat Cancer and continued to do for the the next 5 years. Una was a champ, she was such a strong women who went through alot of hard times but also alot of good times too.

No matter what Una was she was always a strong woman and everyone knew that and loved her for it. She raised a strong family that she was proud of. Una met every situation head on, her family said she was stubborn but got things done, and most times it was done her way!

She was loved by many and leaves behind alot of family and friends that will dearly miss her. We will miss Una always and love her forever.
