Obituary of Harold Craig Curtis

Passed away on April 30, 2020, Harold Craig Curtis at his residence in Botwood.  He was 58 years of age.

Harold was born on January 30, 1962, to Frederick and Dorothy Curtis of Botwood. Harold met his wife, the love of his life, Rita, in Oshawa, Ontario.  They married on July 14, 1989. Together they raised two children Amanda and Robert.  The greatest joy Harold ever knew, was the love of his three angels, his grandbabies, grandson Craig Christopher; granddaughters Elsie-Rose Dorthey, and Elizabeth Jane Louise Earle.  His passion in life was his grandchildren.  They filled his day with so much joy.  Everyday he asked to go see his little angels.  They loved their poppy very much and they will miss him.  Many memories were made that will always be treasured.

Harold was predeceased by his parents Frederick and Dorothy Curtis; brothers Anthony, Tony, Royburn, Robert, Wayne; parents-in-law Angus and Elsie Buckley; sister-in-law Tracy Buckley.  He leaves to mourn his wife Rita Curtis; son Robert Curtis; daughter Amanda (Ted) Earle; grandchildren Craig Christoper, Elsie-Rose, Dorthey, Elizabeth Jane Louise Earle; sisters Brenda (Dave) Curtis-Dean, Edna (Randy) Hynes; brothers Kevin (Sylvie) Curtis, Jason (Pamela sister-in-law) Curtis; brothers-in-law Tony (Pamela) Buckley, Rocky Buckley (Patricia Northcott) and large circle of other relatives and friends.

Dad's Poem

I couldn't always show you,

how proud I was of what we built,

I walk in the walls of glory,

free of all burdens and guilt.

Even If you can't see me,

I will always be near,

please don't cry for me,

I haven't gone with any fear.

Please take comfort in his amazing grace,

someday again we will meet,

In this most beautiful place

I didn't go alone, faces was all I could see

Love was all I knew,

my heart at peace will finally be,

 Amanda Earle
