To Betty and her family, Denise, Dale and Keith,
Sad that you have lost Wayne to this life but you can have consolation in the fact that he was prepared for his new one.
I had only reconnected with him via FB recently after so many years and shared memories of our living on Haig Rd. And the time when he found the Lord and became a Salvationist following his Crocker family tradition. How we both ended up serving the Lord in the Army. May you all find the peace that passes all understanding, only found in Jesus, to be your comfort and hope.

I heard the news of Wayne's passing this morning and my heart was heavy. In all the years I have known him, I never heard a negative word come out of the man's lips and he always brightened up the day when he walked into the store. I know you guys have a ton of great memories and stories to tell in his celebration of life ! Thinking of you all and remembering Wayne fondly, Blair Fraser
Betty & Family,
Myself and Jamie are completely shocked and saddened to hear of Wayne’s passing. We have enjoyed his visits here while bringing your dog for a groom. He was always up for a chat and always had a smile and an encouraging word. We will miss him and please know that our thoughts and prayers are with you all at this very difficult time.
Betty and family, I was so sadden to hear the news from Mom the night of his passing when I called home to see how things were. Wayne was a gentle soul who loved everyone. He would often have a few words with me if he seen me in church with Mom, trying to guide me to the life he would say. He dearly loved to be around people and helped anyone that ever needed a hand and even if they didn't he would if he happened to drive by he would stop in. He will be missed by everyone who ever knew him. Keep his memories close during this difficult time and in the year ahead as you face the first of each event without him. Time will not heal your heart or make the hurt go away, but it will make it easier to continue on with your lives as I am sure Wayne would want you all to do. Big Hugs and Prayers to each and everyone of you, God Bless.
Betty and family:

To Betty, Darren, Dawn, Dale, Denise and Keith, and of course the whole family, I am so very, very sorry to hear of Wayne's passing. He was loved by Mom and Dad, and by all of us. It was so wonderful that he played the drum with Dad in the militia band; that is such a great memory! I'm sure they're playing along right now! Sending lots of love to you all at this very sad time. Love, Judy
My dear cousin Wayne. I know we didn't get to know each other much, with me living so far away. But when the Everly's visited. I remember you, and the boys singing and cutting up. I always wished I recorded you all. It was always a good visit. I really wish we all could have spent more time together. Life is so short. You will be missed by a whole lot of people. Say hello to all our family up in heaven. One day we will meet again. And I will expect you and Dennis to be singing again. Love always, your cousin in Indiana, Peggy Ann
Betty and Family,
We were saddened and shocked to hear of Wayne's sudden passing. We always looked forward to seeing you both when we come home each summer. Wayne was always so out-going, friendly and fun loving. We will miss him in his place at the corps, on the drums and his lovely voice coming through with the worship team. But we know he is with Jesus the one he loved and served.
Be assured of our prayers for you and your family during this difficult journey of grief and loss.
May God give you comfort and strength for each new day!
Junior & Verna Hynes
Dear Betty and Family,
We hasten to send our heartfelt condolences and assurance of prayer support. Wayne was a kind, generous, and spiritual giant of a man. He demonstrated his Christian principles in loving and giving ways. He was a sterling Salvationist.....yellow, red and blue. He took great pride in being one of the World’s best drummers.....look at those fingers on the sticks. He will be dearly missed but fondly remembered in love and Christian hope. May the sustaining and strengthening ‘amazing’ grace of our Lord be your comfort and courage in all your future days. ‘His memory is your keepsake with which you will never part, God has Wayne in His keeping you have him in your hearts”.
Majors Harvey & Doreen Canning

To Betty and all Wayne's family and loved ones. There are many memories of growing up and being on parade with Wayne in the CLB band. I will always cherish how Wayne was so willing to help in the time of need no matter who it was or how tired he might be. Our prayer is that those he loved will learn to love God and others as he did. Our thoughts will be with you today and in the days to come. Rev. Roy and Daphne Martin.

To my sister Betty, neice Dawn, nephew Darren, and families:
I find it hard to believe that Wayne is gone! He was always there to help me, especially in those earlier days when I first left home and lived with Betty and Wayne. Car trouble; no problem. Wayne would be there to help me. He took me on 1 or 2 of his tow truck calls, let me help him put up those 5/8 sheets of drywall on his basement ceiling (my neck still hurts), and most importantly, he blessed me over and over with his undeniable trust in God.
Take comfort today in knowing that Wayne is with Jesus and someday we will see him again.
I love you all. Roxanne joins with me today as we send our condolences today.
Betty, God willing I will come and spend some time with you in September.
Love and prayers,
Larry & Roxanne Jennings
Well this is a day I never thought would be here so soon , but only God knows what our path will be. I have been part of this family for over 25 yrs and to me Wayne was larger than life , there may only be 15 years in age difference but to me I still felt like a young boy around him he always had advice for me whether I asked or not haha , he was a man with conversation and enough faith for 10 men if you met him you would remember the infectious laugh His jokes were Wayne’s way of making you feel comfortable . You have know idea how many people MY! Father in law has helped over the years, he never did things for praise he did it for love and pride and the faith he had in almighty God , can’t was not one of his words, ( well Mr Etheridge give me a minute to figure that out or let me make a few calls )if there was a will there was a way with Wayne go go go attitude in life that was him way , the church and his drums was his love aswell if you had nothing in common with wayne just ask about drums or his tracker and you would have plenty to gab about . A down to earth hard working man that they don’t make anymore that was Wayne Lane .
To some up my Father In Law he had friends, family and faith and that’s what kept him moving forward never back I going , I will miss hearing hello Mr Etheridge and I’d say hello Mr Lane then our hand shake and hug and love you and take care that was us . He never minced words he called it as he saw it , A finer man and grand father you will not find , go rest easy Wayne your work here is done but please keep us all in line cause you know we need it . Love You and miss you already
Across the cove will never be the same.!
Our friend and “go to man “ is gone .
Wayne was a man who gave his help and friendship to us without hesitation or limitation as he did to all he met. We will miss him at the cove and we will miss him in our lives.
We are the better for having known him.
Our deepest sympathy to Betty and his family.
Len and Ina Budgell.
Betty, Dawn, Darren and families:
I was so shocked to hear of Wayne’s sudden passing! I have known Wayne since our teenager days both of us having grown up here in Grand Falls - Windsor. Later on in life, when we were raising our kids and living in close proximity I had to call on Wayne to come and retrieve my car keys that I had locked in the car more than once! He was always in a cheerful mood whenever you would meet him! Betty, take comfort in the thought that Wayne truly exhibited and lived the life of a true Christian and the great hope that you have of being reunited again someday! I know that God will give you His Strength and Peace over the difficult days ahead!

Betty, Darren and Dawn we were heartbroken to hear of Wayne’s passing... Wayne was a great employee and an even better friend ..we’re so thankful for the times we spent together (especially all the time Wayne and Dave would spend drinking coffee and talking about their day after everyone else had gone home for the day). He enjoyed his work and helped bring many improvements to the towing in our area. Wayne you’re one of the best and until we meet again we love you !!!

Betty, Dawn, Darren and family,
Joan and I were shocked to hear of the passing of our dearest friend Wayne. We are literally in shock because Wayne was so full of life. We were looking forward in getting home and seeing You guys again. Things will certainly be different now. Wayne was one of the most generous and kind people I’ve ever met. He would often leave work he needed to do for himself and help someone else. He was a hard worker and Wayne and I would often joke about retiring and what it meant. He knew how much I hated the cold and he would often say to me “what are you going to do when the winter comes”. These are the exact words we had in our last conversation. We will always cherish his laugh, it was infectious. Our hearts are broken as I write this and We can only imagine how you feel. Take some comfort in knowing he was a great husband, father and grandfather. How he adored his grandchildren! He was a Man of great faith and he loved his church. His commitment and dedication should be an inspiration for all of us. He loved his drums and worship team and will be missed beyond measure. May your many memories of Wayne help to ease some of the pain of grief you are experiencing now. Wish we were there to share this time with you but our thoughts and prayers are going your way. We love you guys and hope to see you soon.
