Obituary of Jack Hynes

Oliver Jack Hynes, passed away on Friday, November 22, 2019, at the Central Newfoundland Regional Health Centre, surrounded by his loving family, after a brief illness. He was 85 years of age. He is predeceased by his parents, Philip and Mildred (nee Hancock) Hynes of Little Burnt Bay, brother, Lionel and sons Barry and Darren. He leaves to mourn his wife of 62 years, Mildred (nee Collins); sons, Derek and Paul; daughters Brenda Lee, Bonnie Walker (Timothy) and Beverly Butler (Howard); grandchildren, Amanda, Tyler, Tara, Victoria, Matthew, Wesley and Keri; great-grandchildren, Avery, Jack, Henry, Jackson, Ozzie, Corbin, and Everett; sisters-in-law, Betty Hynes, Ruby Sellars (Ross) and Edith Skovira (Larry), as well as a circle of other relatives and friends. 

Visitation will take place on Sunday, November 24, 2019 from 2-4 and 7-9 at Hoskins Funeral Home in Grand Falls-Windsor. Pastor Geoffrey Ryan will conduct the funeral service from Windsor Pentecostal Church on Monday, November 25, 2019 at 1pm. 

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the doctors (especially Dr. Sheridan) and nurses of the Intensive Care Unit at CNRCH for their care and compassion.
