Obituary of James McMaster Fraser

James McMaster Fraser peacefully left this world on Sept 25, 2019 at Hugh Twomey Health Care Center; he was surrounded by family and friends.

James was born and raised in Glasgow, Scotland; he was very proud of his Scottish heritage.  Canada became his home in 1959. 

He is the father of 3 children and the Seanair (Gallic for Grandfather) of 4, of whom he was very proud. He never hesitated to declare their praises. 

He was very active and loved life; he had a passion for gardening and was obsessed with the desire to create the perfect rose.  Jimmy enjoyed cycling, kayaking, hiking and various outdoor activities.   

He worked from the age of 15 until he was diagnosed with his illness August of 2018.  He enjoyed the work world, and was driven by the desire to remain active and contribute to society.

He will always be remembered for his ability to survive, his positive outlook on life, his devotion to his family, and of course his unique Scottish humour.

 He was predeceased by his sister Agnes Fraser.  He leaves to mourn his wife Ada Swyers-Fraser; children Michelle Fraser, James (Laura) Fraser, Robert (Tanya) Fraser; brothers Loudon (Dianne) Fraser, Bobby (Pat) Fraser; sisters Helen Cummings, Andrea (George) Munro, Margaret (Jack) Hamilton and a circle of other relatives and friends.  Pastors Moral Bess and Edwin White will conduct the funeral service from the Jubilee Pentecostal Temple, Botwood on Saturday, 2 P.M.  Interment to follow at the Pentecostal cemetery, Botwood.  Funeral arrangements entrusted to Hoskins Funeral Home, Botwood.  Pallbearers will be his sons James and Robert Fraser, daughter Michelle Fraser, Naida Rumbolt, Vaden Rumbolt and Sylvia Swyers.
