Obituary of Jessie Lillian Langdon
Passed away on August 28, 2019 at the Central NL Regional Hospital, after a lengthy illness, Jessie Lillian Langdon at the age of 81 years. Jessie was born and raised in a Christian home in Cottrell's Cove and surrendered her life to Jesus at a very early age. Jessie testified of many personal experiences with her Lord that helped to sustain her through the many storms of life. In addition to raising 10 children with her husband Alwin, Jessie at various times in her Christian journey served the Lord in her local church as Sunday School Teacher, Sunday School Superintendent. Women’s Ministries leader and Young Peoples leader. Jessie always had a compassionate heart and a desire to witness the extension of God’s kingdom here on earth. Her desire and compassion for her Saviour helped and strengthened her to the very end. She was predeceased by her parents James and Phoebe Fagan; sisters: Lillian Fagan, Evangeline Boone, Mary Boone; brothers: Kenneth Fagan and Robert Fagan. She leaves to mourn her husband, Alwin; sons: Austin (Juanita), Byron, Ricky (Sylvia), Elmer (Thi Hong), Harvey (Lisa), Stephen and Eldred; daughters: Helena (Brian) Procter, Beverly Langdon and Rosetta (Philip) Johnson. She also leaves 10 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; one sister Evelyn Oxford and a circle of other relatives and friends. Pastor Edwin White will conduct the funeral service from Jubilee Pentecostal Temple on Saturday, August 31, 2019 with burial at the Pentecostal Cemetery in Cottrell’s Cove. Pallbearers are: Austin Langdon, Ricky Langdon, Harvey Langdon, Stephen Langdon, Eldred Langdon and Jonathan Langdon.
