Obituary of Frances M. Pittman
Passed peacefully away on Saturday, August 24, 2019 at the Central Newfoundland Regional health Centre, Frances May Pittman (Nee Payne) at the age of 84 years.
Frances was a very active member of the United Church of Badger. She was always there to lend a hand if someone needed it. She was very charitable, always giving to a cause. She was a great baker and many people will remember Mrs. Pittman's scuffle cookies. You could always find her knitting in her rocking chair by the wood stove.
She is predeceased by her parents, Albert and Alma Payne; brother, Arthur Payne; sister, Joyce Smith; brothers-in-law, Bruce Warr and Roy Paddock; sister-in-law, Pearl Payne; and parents-in-law, Fred and Beatrice Pittman. She leaves to mourn her husband, Bruce Pittman; daughters, Shirley (Neil) Hurley and Lynn (Les) Ball. Also left to mourn are grandson, Richard (Renita) and great-granddaughter, Sadie; sisters, Evelyn Warr and June Paddock; brother, Harold Payne; as well as a large circle of other relatives and friends.
Verley Roberts will conduct the funeral service from the United Church in Badger on Tuesday, August 27, 2019 at 2pm. Interment will follow at the Badger Community Cemetery. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Hoskins Funeral Home in Grand Falls-Windsor. Pallbearers are grandson, Richard, Dwight Hayden, Christopher Hayden, Larry Hynes, Frank Armstrong and Harvey Day.
