Obituary of Dennis Dale Dowland

Passed peacefully away on April 25, 2019 Dennis Dale Dowland (Peach) at home in Northern Arm.  He was 56 years of age.  Mr. Dowland finished work with Best’s Construction in Northern Arm July, 2013.  Predeceased by his parents Walter & Marion Dowland.  Leaving to mourn sisters; Joan (Terry), Jessie (Gerry), Brenda (Bill), Lorraine (Rob), Loretta (Neil), Debbie, Geraldine (Paul), Sylvia (Mike) and brothers; Edgar (Bernadette), Roger, Bob, David and nephews; Troy, Brandon, Terry, Kyle; nieces Heather, Tamara, Brainna, Mikayla and a large circle of relatives and friends.

Captains Morgan & Lisa Hillier will conduct the funeral service from The Salvation Army Citadel, Botwood on Monday, April 29th at 2 PM.  Pallbearers are Bill Rowsell, Gerry Foster, Mike Dover (brothers-in-law), Bob Dowland, David Dowland (brothers) and Clarence Best (employer).  Honourary pallbearers are Roger Dowland (brother) and Mikayla Dover (neice).

Dennis loved to go ice fishing and rabbit hunting in the winter and trouting in the summer time.  He also enjoyed skidooing and riding quad, going in the woods cutting wood with his brothers Roger & Bob.  He also enjoyed his Friday night out.  He enjoyed going for a ride in the car whether it was taking his mom to church or home league.  When he became ill he still enjoyed his ride over to Botwood on the base, listening to the church services on Sunday nights and talking to his friends.

We would like to thank Sheila Baker, Karen Champion, Barb Newhook & Rosiland Williams his homecare workers, also Dr. Kirby.  A big thank you to Mr. Ray Pelley for his visits almost everyday and especially to Roger & Bob for taking care of him since he became ill.

In lieu of flowers donations to the family would be greatly appreciated.
