Obituary of Rosie Violet Sheppard
Passed peacefully away on March 4, 2019, Rosie Violet Sheppard at the Dr. Hugh Twomey Health Center, Botwood. She was 73 years of age.
Rosie Violet (Fudge) Sheppard was born on Wednesday, February 6, 1946 to her loving parents Mark and Ivy Fudge. Later in life, she married the love of her life, Raymond Sheppard. They had crossed each other’s paths, as he sold apples at her school, two for 5 cents, but for Rosie they were always 3 for 5 cents. They officiated their love for each other and joined hands in marriage on August 22, 1968. She became a loving mother to four beautiful children. They were blessed with two boys, Dion and Todd, and two girls Tina and Amanda. Rosie was a loving wife and caring mother. While her husband left each day for work, she would stay with her children and provide them endless love and caring for them in every possible way, whether it was cleaning their family home or providing them a hot meal. Rosie was a strong and courageous woman with a heart made of gold. She endlessly fought to put a smile on everyone’s face and to touch each person’s life. She was always there lending a helping hand or a friendly smile for those who needed her. She was a wife, mother, sister, daughter, grandmother, great grandmother, and most importantly, now she lays in peace as an angel looking down on those she loved and cherished.
She was predeceased by her parents Mark and Ivy Fudge; sister Lily Brown; brothers Stanley and Alphonso Fudge; granddaughter Kyla Sheppard; daughter-in-law Emily Sheppard; parents-in-law Graham and JuliaAnn Sheppard. She leaves to mourn her husband Raymond Sheppard; sons Dion (Ewa), Todd (Serina); daughters Tina (Shawn), Amanda (Steve); sisters Velvie (Cyril), Eva (John); brother Calvin (Velma); grandchildren Nikita, Brooke, Cameron, Sheranda, Cierra; step grandchildren Stephen, Felicia; great grandchildren Lucie, Carson and a circle of other relatives and friends. Interment to follow at the Salvation Army cemetery, Peterview. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Hoskins Funeral Home, Botwood.
