On behalf of our mother, Vera, and ourselves we offer our condolences to the family of a wonderful niece and cousin, Viola. We remember how much she enjoyed the Aunts’ birthday parties and we all enjoyed her egg drop soup. She always looked forward to the Stuckless Boxing Day gatherings and she was always involved and helpful with the food preparation and serving the cold plates. Her good humor, kindness and helpfulness will be missed. We hope your own memories of her will help you get through these trying times.

I wish to express my deepest condolences to all of Viola's family, her sisters and brothers, and especially to her husband Paul, and to her daughters and grandchildren. I am very grateful for the time, kindness and support that Viola gave to my sister, her cousin, Judith, when she too was diagnosed with cancer. Viola brought meals to the house, regularly dropped in for visits, and helped wherever she could. Never would we have thought at that time, six years down the road we would be saying goodbye to such a vibrant woman. How sad that she, too, would be taken from us with so much love still to give. I am so glad I got to see Viola last October when she and Cynthia dropped by my mother's ( Aunt Shirley's) for a visit. It was a fun visit, with lots of laughs. Viola was very proud of her family and told wonderful stories about all of you. She loved you all deeply and I know all that love will give you strength in the days ahead. Share your memories, laugh and cry together as you say your goodbyes, and know that many friends and family are keeping you all in their thoughts and prayers.

It’s been such a pleasure to have Viola as a friend. I feel like we’ve known her for years. My sister, Sheila spoke of her so often and my husband and I had the pleasure to meet you on Thsnksgiving and have a lovely day together. It was lovely to meet the family. God has definitely got an angel in Viola. May the days ahead be a little easier knowing she is at peace and resting in heaven.

Paul, Antoinette,Claudette and Families
Perry and myself were very sad to hear of the passing of Viola. Viola as been a big part of our family since Marion came into Rays life. Viola was always a pleasure to be around and never had a problem expressing her love for her family. Viola made her mark in our town by all the community organizations that she became involved in and the friends that surrounded her. I don’t remember a family function of my family that if Viola was in town she always offered to lend a helping hand without hesitation. She will be greatly missed but her memories will live on in your hearts forever. May Viola now “Rest High upon the Mountain”and watch over your families as the angel she was to each and everyone of you and your families.

Paul, members of the Gallant and Stuckless families:
Our hearts are very saddened at the passing of our beloved friend Viola. She and Paul have been welcomed guests in our lives and home since the days of the Centennial year when we rekindled an acquaintance with Viola following their return to Bishop's Falls.
And for the past decade, our celebrations as well as our association have been very special by the friendly presence of both of them. Her enduring smile and antics, together with her sincere thoughtfulness, mixed with Paul's quiet, but very friendly demeanour, brought happiness and joy in our lives and the lives of our friends every time we were together.
She will indeed be missed, and though our hearts, like yours, are heavy, her suffering is over, and she is at peace. A beautiful lady, loving mother and grandmother, and cherished wife, is at rest in the arms of God, and her family can take solace in knowing that her memory will be cherished by all who knew her for many years.
Please accept our sincere condolences on this sad occasion.
