Passed peacefully away at the Central NL Regional Health Centre, Ralph Ernest Saunders at the age of 63 years. He was born to Arthur and Daphne Saunders on Feb. 23, 1955 in Leading Tickles and at the age of five moved to Point Leamington but resided with his wife and family in Bishop’s Falls. He worked in Alberta most of his life and loved the outdoors and spent many days and nights in his cabin at Mequel Lake, until his sickness overtook him. He was predeceased by his dad Arthur Saunders; brother Terry Saunders; mother-in-law, Mary McDonald who loved Ralph like a son. He leaves to mourn his wife Rose (McDonald); mother Daphne Saunders; sisters Donna (Murray) of Pt. Leamington, Judy of Toronto, Nola (Rex his best friend and like a brother to him) of Point Leamington, Penny of Yellowknife; brother Roy of Point Leamington, lots of nephew, nieces also great nephews and great nieces and a large circle of other relatives and friends.
Donations in his memory can be made to the NL Lung Association.
In keeping with his wishes, cremation has taken place.
There will be a graveside service held on Thursday at 2 P.M. from the Salvation cemetery, Pt. Leamington.
