Obituary of Winston Thompson

Passed peacefully away on June 30, 2018, Winston “Neil“ Thompson, at his residence in Botwood. He was 77 years of age.  Mr. Thompson retired from Abitibi Price in 2000 and was a member of the Botwood Salvation Army Men’s Fellowship.  He was predeceased by his parents Thurl “Toots” and Gertie Thompson; grandson Andrew Thompson; parents-in-laws Eli and Mary Budgell; brothers-in-law  Gilbert and Scott Budgell; Harold Curtis; sisters-in-laws Ivy Pilgrim and Ethel Budgell.  He leaves to mourn his wife Kay; sons Darren (Kathleen), Dean (Brenda Roberts), Danny, Darryl (Rhonda), Deon (Catherine); daughter Darlene (Arley) Masters; sister Ruth (George) Williams; brothers Wes (Ida), David (Audrey); 11 grandchildren and a large circle of other relatives and friends.  Majors Arley and Darlene Masters supported by Captains Morgan and Lisa Hillier will conduct the funeral service at The Salvation Army Citadel, Botwood on Tuesday July 3, 2018 at 2 P.M.  Interment to follow at the Botwood Community cemetery.  Funeral arrangements entrusted to Hoskins Funeral Home, Botwood.  Pallbearers will be sons Darren, Dean, Danny, Darryl, and Deon Thompson and son-in-law Arley Masters.  Honorary pallbearer will be his daughter Darlene Masters.

Donations in Neil's memory may be made to The Salvation Army Citadel, Botwood.
