Obituary of Harold Medley Peckford
Passed away on June 25, 2018 at his home, surrounded by his family, Harold Medley (Sunshine) Peckford at the age of 80 years. He retired from Harvey and Company after 30 years service as heavy duty mechanic/welder. He was predeceased by his son David; parents: Rawland and Bertha Peckford; brother, Roy; sisters: Sadie, Hilda, Beryl, Edna; brother-in-law, Donald Kean. He leaves to mourn his wife June Peckford; sons: Harold (Denise), Rodney (Susan); daughters: Christine (Tony) Morgan, Marilyn (Tim) Hedderson, Cindy (Don) O’Reilly. He also leaves his 12 grandchildren: Kerrilynn, Kevin, Michael, Jeffrey, Andrew, Justine, Jordan, Brandon, Jonathon, Shaina, Trevor and Zachary; sisters: Rose (Junior) Flood, Delcie (Walt) Lee; brother-in-law Gary (Christine) Kean; sister-in-law Gladys Kean and a large circle of other family and friends. Majors David and Wavey Chaulk will conduct the funeral service at the Salvation Army Citadel, Bishop’s Falls, on June 28, 2018 at 2 p.m. with interment at the Salvation Army Cemetery. Pallbearers are: Harold Peckford (son), Rodney Peckford (son), Tim Hedderson (son-in-law), Tony Morgan (son-in-law), Michael Morgan (grandson) and George Morgan (long-time friend). Honorary pallbearers are daughters Christine Morgan and Cindy O’Reilly.
God saw him getting tired, when a cure was not to be, so he wrapped his arms around him and whispered come to me. Always loved and forever remembered. Your loving family.
