Obituary of Evangeline Boone

Passed peacefully away on March 7, 2018 Evangeline Boone at the Carmelite House, Grand Falls-Windsor, at the age of 92 years. Evangeline was born on Feb. 9, 1926 at Southeast Arm (Cottrell’s Cove) to James and Phoebe Fagan. She married Warrick V. Boone on October 19, 1955. She retired from the Salvation Army Camp after working with them as a cook for 10 years. She had numerous hobbies: walking, gardening, quilting, sewing just to list a few. Evangeline was a very faithful member of Cottrell’s Cove Pentecostal Church and was one of the founding members. She served on the Board of Deacons, led in worship, Sunday School teacher and a Women’s Ministries member. She was always there to lend a helping hand. She was predeceased by her husband Warrick V.; parents, James and Phoebe Fagan; siblings: Lillian, Mary, Robert and Kenneth. She leaves to mourn her daughter, Vina (Brooks) Inder; grandson Jason and great-grandsons Jayden and Keegan; sisters: Jessie (Alwin) Langdon, Evelyn Oxford as well as a circle of nephews, nieces and a circle of other relatives and friends. Aunt “Dubby” was well loved by all who knew her – a loving, meek and compassionate soul. Pastor Gloria King will conduct the funeral service at Evangel Pentecostal Church, GFW with interment at the Pentecostal Cemetery, Cottrell’s Cove. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Hoskins Funeral Home, GFW. Pallbearers are Arthur Boone, Austin Langdon, David Oxford, Goodwin Billings, Alvin Budgell, Hardy Boone and Murray Fagan.
