Obituary of Carl Harnum

Passed away February 26, 2018, after a lengthy illness, Carl Wayne Harnum at Central Newfoundland Regional Health Centre. In 2014, after 37 years of service, Carl retired from GCR Tire Centre where he was highly respected, admired, and considered a mentor. He was a member of his church board and the Calvary Pentecostal Men’s Ministry Executive. Carl had a great desire to serve the Lord and devoted his life to Him. He was an integral member of many church related organizations. Carl’s kind heart and willingness to always lend a hand, made him known and respected by many. He enjoyed spending time in the woods, fishing, moose hunting, and being with his grandchildren. Predeceased by parents Clarence and Fronie Harnum, sister Pauline Hunter, and sister Brenda Callahan. Left to mourn are wife Bertha, son Rodney (Angela), daughter Carla, grandchildren Andrew, Jade, and Carl, sisters Beulah (Leroy) Sheppard, Betty (Henry) Vaters, brothers Lloyd (Sandra) Harnum, Kevin (Elsie) Harnum, Bill (Judy) Harnum, Bob (Janet) Harnum and a large circle of nieces, nephews, and friends.

Pastor Greg Patey will conduct funeral services at Calvary Pentecostal Church in Bishop’s Falls on Thursday, March 1, 2018. Pallbearers include son Rodney, brothers Lloyd, Bill, and Bob, close friends Alvin Mercer and Harris Rice.

In lieu of flowers, donations made be made to the cemetery fund of the Calvary Pentecostal Tabernacle.
