Obituary of William Wheeler

Passed away October 31, 2004 after a lengthy illness at the Central Newfoundland Regional Health Care Center in Grand Falls-Windsor, William Francis Wheeler Jr. He was 84 years of age. Mr. Wheeler was a veteran in the 2nd World war and he retired from Abitibi Price in 1984. He was a member of Branch 49 Legion and the Bucket Brigade in Windsor. He was predeceased by his mother, Caroline; father, William Francis; 6 brothers; 1 sister; and 3 infant daughters. Left to mourn are his wife, Annie; sons, Les (Minnie), Francis (Sandra), George (Leila), Ray, Robert (Mary), Terry (Judy), Brian (Christina), Dave (Mary); daughters, Jess (Bob King), Iris (Fred Connors), Jean (Bill Phillips), Edna (Rex Sheppard), Sheila (Brian Sullivan); 21 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; 3 step grandchildren and a large circle of other relatives and friends. Pastor Andrews conducted funeral services from the Windsor Pentecostal Church on Wednesday, November 3, 2004. Interment was at the Salvation Army Cemetery, Caribou Road, Grand Falls-Windsor. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Hoskins Funeral Home, Grand Falls-Windsor. Pallbearers were Francis, Ray, Doug, Will, Nadine and Amanda Wheeler. Honorary pallbearers were Raymond Wheeler and Jason Phillips.
