We fondly remember the many visits that Aunt Sylvia made to Stephenville when we were children. This beautiful, petite, cool young woman would spend good quality time with us and teach us how to have fun. She was strong, witty, and wise, setting a meaningful example of how to live life to its fullest. In recent years, and despite the odds, she kept those traits and inspired all of us to live with courage, humor and kindness.

We send our best to the entire family, especially to our cousins, David and April. We will cherish our memories of Aunt Sylvia and celebrate her as an incredible person and beloved family member.

Warmly,

Debbie, Barbara and Keith

David, April and families

Your precious mom is free today, without pain, without the shakiness and without those horrible hallucinations.

Her days of suffering are over and she is so happy and joyful. Never a doubt she is in Heaven tonight. Take comfort in those thoughts!

During the past few years, Verna and I visited your mom many times at Twin Town Home and she was a joy to visit. So happy to see us and delighted in sharing many memories from our years in Labrador City. She was always happy to show us photos of you folks and the grandchildren! You were her world and what kept her going through her difficult times.

May you find peace in the days ahead knowing that you were loved beyond words and your mom is finally at peace.

We will miss her too!

David, April, and extended family: It's always sad when a loved one passes away; but when a person suffers so much and so long as Sylvia did. there has to be a sense of relief. Finally she has reached her destination, it's what she lived for all her life. She was a great example of what it means to be a Christian; weak in the flesh but strong in her faith. We have lots of memories; some of good times, but some of her time of suffering. Be assured of our thoughts and prayers in the days ahead.
