Lewis Hedley Langdon

Hedley Lewis Langdon was born to Ella and Elijah Langdon of Northern Arm on Feb. 17th, 1931.  He grew up in Northern Arm and went to school there.  After he finished school he went to Owen Sound, Ontario and worked on a farm for a while.  He later joined the Royal Canadian Army under the Rank: Queen’s Own Rifles of Canada from 1951-1954.  He met Una Noseworthy of Leading Tickles and they were married in October of 1957. He moved to Pleasantview and lived there until his passing on March 27, 2022. Lewis went to work with A.N.D Company later renamed Abitibi Price, retiring in 1991.  He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 5, Botwood and was a member of the Pt. Leamington Fire Dept. for 25 years. 

He is predeceased by his parents; four sisters; one brother, beloved daughter Primose Feener.  He leaves to mourn his wife Una of 64 years; sister Lillian Walker; daughters Ella and Cosette; sons Robert (Darlene), Gilvie, Hedley (Diane), Jeffrey; five granddaughters; seven grandsons; eight great-granddaughters; three great grandsons and his friend Tom (his cat); many nieces, nephew, cousins and friends. 

Thank you to all who helped in anyway. Special thanks to Dr. Woolfrey who has been his idol for a number of years, and the staff of CNRHC third floor, ward 3A.

Rev. James Martin-Carter will conduct the funeral service from the Bethany United Church, Pleasantview on Thursday, March 31, 2022 at 2 P.M. Interment to follow at the United Church cemetery.

Pallbearers will be sons Robert, Hedley, Jeffrey Langdon, grandsons Lucas Langdon and Jonathan Feener, son-in-law Edwin Feener. Honorary pallbearers will be Ella Pelkinen, Cosette and Gilvie Langdon.

At the families request, they would appreciate all guests who visit the Church or attend the funeral service to wear a mask, thank you.
