The family of Joan Bessie Borden are deeply saddened to announce her passing on February 27, 2022 at the Central NL Regional Health Centre. Joan passed peacefully at the age of 62 years after suffering a massive stroke.
Joan was predeceased by her parents: Roland and Nellie Borden and her brother Harold.
She leaves to mourn her deeply loved daughter Rachel (Trevor Allingham), cherished granddaughter Myah; special friend Reuben Giles. Also her sisters Wavey of Calgary, AB, Ruby of Grand Falls-Windsor and a large circle of nieces, nephews and a wide circle of friends
Joan was known for her quick wit, sarcasm, and great sense of humor. She was a true animal lover and leaves to mourn her beloved cats, Da, Sweetie Boy and Bobby.

Funeral service will be conducted by Majors Peter and Janice Rowe of The Salvation Army Park Street Citadel at Hoskins Funeral Home on Thursday, March 3, 2022 at 2:00pm with interment to follow at the Salvation Army cemetery, Caribou Road, Grand Falls-Windsor.
Pallbearers are Reuben Giles, Rachel Borden, Trevor Allingham, David Sampson, Darrin Sampson, Derrick Sampson.
Honorary pallbearer is Wavey Borden.
Flowers and donations are gratefully accepted.
